Hints On Color Book Printing

By Lora Weeks

The prospect of self-publishing has proven attractive to quite a few budding authors. The nuances of color book printing, however, remain unknown to all but a few of these authors. Such nuances should become clearer from the advice that is presented below.

First, you must make sure that your work is edited until there are no flaws in the writing. You may find it necessary to hire someone to do the editing for you, as an objective pair of eyes may detect a flaw that may have been overlooked. In any case, you have to ensure that the writing is at as high a quality as you can get it.

The next thing it is important to ensure is that the work is formatted correctly. You may well have the writing completed to a satisfactory level, but the page size and font type may not be the one that is desired. Form is as important as content, so do not overlook this aspect of your work.

One thing you cannot neglect is that the public need to be made aware that you have written something that is available for them to read. Marketing is something that you would ordinarily delegate to your publisher. This is something that, as a self-publisher, you will need to take care of yourself.

Your marketing plan will increase the number of books that you will be able to sell. And that will dictate the number of books that you will end up getting printed as a consequence. You must be realistic on these numbers, lest you end up ordering a large print run that the sales cannot cover the cost of.

In summary, the process of color book printing is not a straightforward affair. It is necessary to be aware of the different aspects involved in this process. The tips outlined above should provide such awareness.
