By Kristle Sipos

Writer's block, where you have trouble concentrating or coming up with new ideas, is a very common predicament for writers. The strategies we'll be covering in this article will help you get over writer's block so you can get back to being productive.

Get Some Coffee: You have lots of options if you need to feel rejuvenated especially if you feel a little ill. Getting coffee is one of the simplest ways to freshen up and get your brain back in shape, particularly if you don't have time to exercise. Pretty much every writer experiences some form of writer's block at some point but taking care of it at the right time can help you get a lot more done and save you all sorts of time.

Keep Your Record With You: Not having enough ideas is a common worry writer's have and we all know that not having enough ideas can be excellent writer's block food. Obviously ideas don't happen through force, they happen through inspiration. So why would you let the ideas you do get go to waste? Carry a record with you everywhere you go--you can use it to keep all of the ideas that come to you out of the blue when you aren't expecting them and are doing other things. This is a record that acts as an "idea pad" for those times when you think of topics to write about and the more active you are in coming up with ideas the more this result will work for you. Writing down an idea as you have it helps raise the level of your creativity and that, in turn, can help you when you experience writer's block.

The most difficult part is the start, and you'll realize that once you do start, things get easier. If you find yourself getting frustrated because of too much of thinking - take a break and come back to your project later on. When you come back to it actually start writing.

When you are a writer it is important to avoid any distractions; particularly those that could inflame your writer's block. It's important to stay away from things that make it easier for you to fall prey to writer's block.
