By Gary Ruiz

Now that 2011 is approaching to a close, web design followers are fervently awaiting what web design trends are in for 2012. Websites next year will bring the virtual experience more real-life.

If you are the web site owner, this means revisiting your Home page as well as About Us page. At present, websites haven't crossed the bridge of making interaction with prospects via the website more real-life. Websites continue to be a page on the web, instructive but not as interactive as it should be given that real humans go to the site. So 2012 will see more one-liner home page, as in, "Hello, how are you doing?" or "Hi I'm Website A. How are you today?" as what takes place when humans interact real-life. Humans don't give the entire of sales pitches or product information at initial meeting. They usually start a conversation, before they proceed with the matter of the day, with every person they meet for the first time.

To materialize this idea, the concentration will be on simplicity and on one message only, and that is to usher the visitor and provide a brief introduction. To attain this, the home page will make use of only one font type and style which will be larger, shorter, and bolder. The home page will be the equivalent to a short introduction. Content will be moved to the inner pages after the proper introduction has been made.

The Home Page will additionally be divided into strong header and strong footer. The strong, bold, and big will drive home the message more. It will also move the focus from being an instructive or interactive site to being a usable site. Usability is the chief focus and strength of 2012 websites..

With the new year comes new styles and changes which people normally look forward to. While styles do come and go, the same doctrine remain. For a website, the principles of simplicity and usability can't be undermined. Visitors connect more to websites that they can easily understand and use. Simplicity is the way sites can create long term business with visitors.
